Abstract:

Purpose: The job performance of employees and managers plays an important role in promoting the organization's performance, and it seems that cultural intelligence can affect it. As a result, the aim of this study was to ranking the efficiency of job performance of employees and managers through cultural intelligence based on the DEA linear programming model. Methodology: This study in terms of purpose was applied and in terms of implementation method was descriptive-survey. The research population was the employees and managers of the north municipalities of Khuzestan province in 2021 year, which number of 90 people of them were selected as a sample with using the available sampling method. The research tools were included the demographic information form and the questionnaires of cultural intelligence (Ang et al., 2004) and job performance (Alirezaei, Masah and Akrami, 2013). In the present study, the face validity of both questionnaires was confirmed by experts and their reliability was obtained by Cronbach's alpha method as 0.87 and 0.93, respectively. The data were analyzed by Pearson correlation coefficient, DEA linear programming and one-sample t-test. Findings: The findings of Pearson's correlation coefficients showed that all four components of cultural intelligence including cognitive, metacognitive, motivational and behavioral components had a significant effect on both components of job performance including task and contextual components (P<0.01). Also, the results of DEA linear programming showed that the efficiency of Dezful, Lali, Shush, Izeh and Masjedsoleyman municipalities was higher, respectively. In addition, the findings of the sample t-test showed that the current status of all four components of cultural intelligence and both components of job performance of municipals employees and managers significantly were lower than their desired status (P<0.01). Conclusion: According to the results of this study, to improve the job performance of municipal employees and managers can be used through the improvement of cognitive, metacognitive, motivational and behavioral components of cultural intelligence. Also, it is necessary to design and implement programs to improve both variables of job performance and cultural intelligence of municipal employees and managers.
